Plaster Experiments
Plaster has always been one of my favorite materials. I started using it again this month. The following photos show one series of flat panels with solidified run patterns. At a certain stiffness or viscosity (like light gravy or thick borscht), plaster will run down certain textures to create different patterns. The plaster runs below came from a wide, semi-gloss plastic jar. They were also used as stencils to create the red sketches below
I’m not sure where this series is headed. There are so many other textures and materials to play with. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
